The product, its sub-assemblies and base components may only be ordered and assembled in fixed multiples of their standard batch size or minimum order quantity. For example, Part D may only be ordered and assembled in batches of 600, or in multiples thereof (e.g. 1,200 or 1,800, etc.).
All deliveries are received at the start of the week they are due. They are therefore available to the assembly process (or, in the case of the product, for sale) in that week.
The Task
Develop a set of MRP records, covering each of the six stock-keeping units in the
product structure, so that the average level of inventory for each item is minimised. An Excel spreadsheet containing a blank grid suitable for completing this task is provided on studentcentral.
You only need to submit your spreadsheet to studentcentral. Marks will be allocated for accuracy and completeness; you are not required to use Excel formula to calculate the results.
