In the last few decades, a majority of U.S. organizations have either begun or increased the use of pre-employment testing in the selection process. Partially in response to this increase, there has been a host of legal and ethical issues related to the use of the polygraph and integrity tests in regards to the selection process of organizations. Research on the reliability, validity, ability to deceive, and adverse impact of integrity tests has been ongoing. Two fairly recent inclusions to the field of employee testing are a broadening of the criteria used for test validation to include global performance, absences, turnover, and theft and the emergence of personality-oriented evaluation, such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Big Five, or other personality testing. and write a 1000- to 1200-word paper (excluding the title and reference pages) that discusses the impact of testing on the selection process. (Please note background checks and drug testing should not be part of the paper.) The paper must be correctly formatted according to APA style guidelines and it must contain at least five sources, two of which must be from peer-reviewed, scholarly journals.
