Learning Outcomes
On completing this course successfully you will be able to:
1 Critically analyse theoretical models of psychotic disorders, particularly stress
vulnerability models and the relevance to own practice.
2. Use complex skills to assess suitability of service users for psychosocial interventions
based on a critical appraisal of the evidence base through the use of appropriate
assessment protocols and procedures.
3. Demonstrate effective engagement, assessment and formulation skills in relation to
psychotic symptoms and their related problems.
4. Deliver and evaluate a range of Cogitative Behaviourally orientated psychosocial
interventions and approaches specifically targeting psychotic symptoms based on ethical,
legal, professional and culturally sensitive principles.
