Brief:
You are employed within a Construction Project Management Consultancy and have been approached by an inexperienced client to commission a report on the contractual and legal process for residential construction. The client has bought a 1930?s double-brick California Bungalow on Silsoe Street in the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton South.
The client is considering a significant renovation of the existing property with the addition of a new single story extension (bedroom, bathroom and an outdoor deck). Early estimates indicate project costs of $275,000 for the renovation/extension.
The report must specifically focus on identifying the process and stakeholders, review and recommend contract options and discuss relevant legislation (Insurance, OHS, etc).
