They are more parameters that can be varied in the car wash and wax model than the bank model. In the bank model, you could evaluate all the possibilities since there were a limited number of choices. In the cash wash and wax model, there are too many variations possible to evaluate everything. Thus as part of your narrative, you will need to explain which parameters you chose to vary and why. A recommendation is to start by varying a single parameter at a time (e.g., rate of dirty cars, % of washes versus wash and waxes; number of attendants; time to wash and/or wax, etc.) and see what happens. Certain values will result in unrealistic outputs from a business perspective (e.g., having 50 attendants available). Once you have an understanding of how a single change affects the model, change multiple values and see what happens. Bottom line – Keep in mind the purpose of the simulation and focus on producing the results that will help.
