This chapter is to be written objectively – no opinion or interpretation of results allowed. You are reporting the results exactly as they were collected and then analyzing them appropriately. If you have multiple research questions, then use those questions as headings and report all of the results for that particular research question under that heading. If you only have one research question, you will begin by stating that question and how you obtained your results. Chapter 4 is dry by nature. You need to provide visual representation of the data if appropriate (charts, tables, graphs, diagrams, etc.). Use correct APA formatting when doing this (i.e, label each as a “Table” or “Figure” and give it a number and title). In your text, you will be describing what the tables and figures are representing.
How to Write Chapter 5: Conclusion
Due: November 11
You get to interpret the results in Chapter 5. It should be approximately 2-3 pages. You summarize the results presented in Chapter 4 and add meaning/application. I have referred to this as the “Who cares?” rationale. What new questions have you developed based on conducting this research and what future studies should be conducted to gather more data? Who would benefit from knowing this information?
