My paper topic ( it is pre-approved by my professor) :This term paper is for my feminist geography class. On my paper I want to write on whether or not men and women should be segregated in professional sports. There are some sports that are mixed-gender; however, the majority of professional sports are gender-segregated. So in my paper I want to argue for mixed-gender sports, which will give equal opportunities to both men and women. Moreover, since it is feminist geography class, we studied the relationship between space and gender. “Spatial segregation does more than create a physical distance; it also affects the distribution of knowledge women could use to change their position in society” ( Spain). So in my paper I should also include how segregating women and men in sports give less power to women.
