Methods: Throughout the semester, our class (Environmental Measurements) has gone out to 4 stream locations, 2 being at one stream called Harker’s Run (up-stream site and down-stream site) and 2 being at another stream called Collin’s Creek (up-stream site and down-stream site). The class went out 3 times: August 28th/September 4th, September 25th, and October 23rd. In the field, we collected as many fish as we could using seines, identified them, and kept count of each species. Every stream site had a sample taken from 150 meters long. These class field measurement samples gave us the appropriate data to calculate the streams’ overall ecological health using the index of biotic integrity (developed by the environmental protection agency). (FYI: August 28th and September 4th are counted as one sampling date because we had to finish what we could not complete for August 28th on September 4th).
The paper must have a testable stated hypothesis. The hypothesis is up to your discretion, but must be stated in the report why this hypothesis was chosen to evaluate the overall ecological health of the streams. A basic statistical analysis is mandatory (e.g. using Excel to generate the a histogram of types of species or types of guilds, etc.).

When I specify the page number requirement in this order, I will not include the pages that will have graphs, tables, and charts.
