Write one literary fiction short story at least 4 pages in length (double-spaced) and no more than 10 pages (double-spaced).
There is one limitation to what type of creative writing you can write. In the fiction portion of the workshop, you are expected to write literary fiction. I will not accept genre fiction (e.g., science fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, etc.). For further clarification on what genre fiction is v. literary fiction, please see your Gotham Writers’ Workshop book.
