Review all questions thoroughly and ensure you address each part of each question. Cite examples where necessary.
1. Are disaster management, incident response, emergency management and crisis resolution synonymous terms? Explain using one of the 11 Critical Infrastructure-Key Resources and applying this to either a natural or manmade disaster. ie. USS Cole, 9/11 Attack, Hurricane Sandy etc.
2. Explain the similarities and differences of NRF-2008 and the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. Is one more applicable over the other when applied to a terrorist incident? If so which one and why using an example. If not, explain your reasoning and offer an example to support your conclusion.
3. Would you consider homeland security more of a concept or abstract ideal or an identifiable, quantitative principle that can be defined? If the former, explain its genesis and evolution, if the latter, define it using terms that are universally applicable in the post 9/11 era citing examples in both instances.
4. Create a scenario where either a manmade disaster occurs within the US. Once created, which specific components to crisis response, do you believe would be more crucial and why? Of these which would you consider more vital in your scenario; preparation, planning, response, mitigation or recovery? Why?
