Here is a writing prompt : One of the oldest of rules for a civil/society is “Do Not Murder”. (Analyzing)Looking at one, two or all of the stories we have read (in View and Values) in regards to “Do Not Murder”, argue that the rule is “Black and White”, or that there are shades of gray, prove it suing ideas and text. You need to write about black and white in the stories. Considering one, all, or several of the stories we have now read in the Views and Values textbook, argue that the law of ”Do Not Murder” is either Black and White, or in a gray area. Use the stories to make your case. Consider the character and complications/circumstances of the story in arguing the thesis. You might also want to narrate your own story of a person/event that could have lead to more violence. Do not make your story the central idea, however, keep to ”the book”.
As part if your brainstorming, you may want to ask yourself, who do I think is the least guilty of murder given their situation, and who would you consider the most guilty?.
