marketing plan

Our goal is to begin creating a marketing plan for your product.
The first step is to determine who we are targeting. There is no one product for everyone. This is why brands exist is to be able to target the specific needs and emotions of each target group.
Steps:
1) Segment your market. Tell me who is your primary target audience (1-2 paragraphs) – think about who has the problem that your product solves and is most motivated to buy your product to solve it. Define them in terms of need (the problem that they’re facing) and then tell me their demographics (age, gender, income, career, location, family, etc) and psychographics (personality, values, aspirations, goals, etc).
2) What is your key benefit you want to communicate to your customer? What information is most important that this customer group understands?
3) What marketing channel will be best for targeting you customer group with your message (print ad, TV ad, web ad, social media, etc)? Be specific about where your ad would show. For example, if you say TV ad, tell me what shows and TV channels it would play on. Explain your reasoning for the placement of your ad.
4) Create either a print ad or a web ad. You do not need to be an artist. Keep it simple. You can use any software of your choosing or hand draw. Powerpoint is often easiest to work with for most students. The key thing is to communicate your key benefit to your customer. Size guidelines are attached. Include your advertisement in your submission.
