1. Each test will consist of essay questions (e.g., comparison/contrast; definition; analysis) of at least three well-developed paragraphs each. Answers are graded primarily on content though they are expected to be expressed clearly, coherently, and logically. Each test is worth 2O% of the total grade. The student is tested on the literary texts, not on the secondary materials.
