1.your research question or topic must be related to at least one of the following themes: gender and sexuality, gender and embodiment, gender and violence, the future of gender.
2.Remember to label carefully any tables/charts/graphs/figures that you might include (these are optional). Point form is not acceptable in the body of your essay, unless you are providing a list of items. Subject titles and subtitles are highly recommended throughout the essay.
3.Your literature review must include 10-12 sources. These sources must be scholarly (i.e. peer-reviewed) journal articles or books. They may include your course textbook and/or individual chapters taken from your course reader. Newspaper or popular magazine articles are not scholarly sources; if any of these is used, it must be correctly referenced, but it does not count as one of the 10-12 sources. Wikipedia articles may not be used at all. Scholarly use of your personal experiences/observations is encouraged, but not formally required; when referring to personal experiences/observations, it is acceptable to use first-person pronouns.
4.Your bibliography must list all referenced sources, and you must ensure correct and consistent formatting throughout your essay.
