The point this week is to decide what you want to measure, (i.e. what you want to make a video of) and what question you want to answer. This week, I want you to come up with a way to check some property of the Momentum Principle: does Delta P = F delta t. You could use a situation in which the force is known, but the change in momentum is not (two objects of different mass falling, for instance, have known forces, and you can measure their change in momentum over different times by choosing different lines from a “Tracker” spreadsheet). You could use the known change in momentum of an object (for instance, video an object rolling down a driveway, and figure out what is the force on it … it is not just the weight).
