Objectives:
1. Discuss the role of the nurse informaticist or Informatician from the perspective of the interviewed preceptor. (5pts)
2. Identify the concepts and standards of Nursing Informatics applied by the nurse informaticist or the concepts of as informatician applied by the Information system specialist at the selected health care setting.(5pts)
3. Discuss the emergence of Telehealth, Telenursing, and/or Telemedicine at the selected health care setting to capture a historical understanding of its evolution at the selected site. Discuss the impact identified as related to the quality of patient care. Compare and contrast the outcomes (findings) to data learned in priorcourses as related to patient care and health care management. (20pts)
4. Explain at least 3 observed practices of Telenursing, Telemedicine, and/or Telehealth used at the selected site to meet the holistic needs of the patient, families, communities and health care providers. (10pts)
5. Identify the primary uses of administrative software at the selected health care setting (reporting, human resource management fiscal resources, and physical resources). (10pts)
6. Describe the network systems deployed at your facility and identify comparable or higher level systems that can enhance patient services. (10pts)
7. Analyze the measures used to maintain confidentiality of electronic health records, portable health records and/or personal health records at the selected facility. (10pts)
