This is to be a research paper/ case study. This assignment given is to write a 10 page paper on Leadership Communication within an organization. The idea is to use information gathered from sources that talk about organizational communication, the communication of leadership within an organization and how it can impact the overall success of the organization at large. There are various concepts that we had to use on the Mid-Tern that are to be considered in this final paper. These terms are as follow. First, in reference to defining communication as presented in Organizational Communication by Eric. Eisenberg (Chapter 2). It views communication from four approaches 1) Communication as Information Transfer, 2) Communication as Transactional Process, 3) Communication as Strategic Control, and 4) Communication as a Balance of Creativity and Constraint. The second set of terms are dealing with the historical perspectives of Organizations and Communication. It looks at four perspectives, 1) Classical Management, 2) Human Relations, and 3) Human Resources. I will attach my mid-term so you can have an idea of how I engaged this material. The part of the case study is to watch the movie the “Crimson Tide” starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman, and talk about how these concepts influence the dialogue in this movie. Overall, this paper is to show how these concept influence communication in our society today.
