Write a reflective essay about your learning on placement. You need to evaluate your own practice and learning and discuss the theory, literature and research that has informed your practice. You should draw on examples of your practice but this essay should not be merely a descriptive account of what you did on placement or an account of the lives of the service users you worked with. It needs to be an evaluative, holistic and reflective account of your learning journey. You should also discuss feedback you have received and how you used this. You should conclude by discussing in what way you intend to develop your practice in the next phase of your social work education.
As a guide you should consider the relevant descriptor level of the PCF, the HCPC Standards of Proficiency and values. You may refer to these in your essay but you should not use them as headings.
