Option 1 is essentially a literature-based assignment, where participants are required to produce a Management Report on the following using the materials provided in the module, plus personal reflections, further to reading, research and discussion: In the introduction, you have to define what leadership is, what is the difference between a manager and a leader. In the first part, you have to include at least 2-3 leadership theories that exist and discuss their application/use within business. In the second part, you must explain the different relationship between men and women with leadership in companies. You must speak about the “glass ceiling” (define and explain it) that prevent women to evolve in a company and also explain that today women have “2 works” (in a company and at home) and it may be a reason why they have difficulties to break the glass ceiling because managing work and housework give stress and can be a reason why women are “stuck” in this situation contrary to men (imbalance between genders). In the third and last part, you must provide recommandations to avoid this imbalance within an organization (speaking of laws on gender male / female), give examples of women who have succeeded.
