Writing assignment: A 4 page paper including a separate bibliography (at least 5 references) of an approved course global health problem preferably related to your country of origin will be required of each student during the course (active learning as opposed to passive learning). In addition, a copy of one reference must be included with your paper to evaluate your critical review of the literature and writing ability. You may use MLA or APA format. The materials for your written assignment will be used for your in-class presentation (Adapted from Those Who Can Do: Implementing Active Learning Marianne Miserandino, American Psychological Society Observer, September 1998:24-26). The written assignment will be evaluated according to the writing rubric posted on blackboard.
