G-Dragon’s music and fashion

The paper MUST follow the guideline indicated:

12 size font, New Times Roman, double space.
Please use and include the readings and the scholar article I provided for the paper, and develop the paper base on the draft that I included, or at least use the elements that I mentioned in the draft.

o Analyze your topic in terms of its relationship to themes such as identity, gender, race, class, sexuality, age, genre, etc.
o Frame your discussion with the themes we have discussed in class. You may find it best to focus on just one or two themes which are most applicable to your given topic. You will have more success when you focus more in depth on one point than glossing over many different points and not truly analyzing any of them. Remember: quality, not quantity!
o Cite your sources according to Chicago style and include quotes to support your argument.
o Tip: quotations and passages should always be introduced and contextualized. Please don?t drop a passage in the middle of your paper without explaining it or applying it to your given topic!

Your final paper should include the following components:
o Introduction (1st paragraph) ? What is your topic and your key theme? You should have a clear argument/thesis statement somewhere in this paragraph.
o Historical Overview (1-2 pages) – What are the historical origins of your subculture/group? Who/what does the subculture/group reference musically and stylistically?
o Visual Analysis (1-2 pages) ? What are the visual attributes of your given topic? What are their stylistic precedents and how have they been reworked by your given subject? Have these visual attributes changed over time, and how?
o Analysis of key ?texts? (6-8 pages) ? Choose two or three key ?texts? (you can think of them as visual examples) to analyze in relation to your topic. This may be a press photograph, an album cover, a music video, film, etc. (These should not be drawn from your album cover/music video analyses.) How do your texts demonstrate the arguments you make in your paper? What do these texts communicate about your topic and how do they relate to the themes we have been discussing in class? Why are they important to consider in our analysis of fashion and music?
o Conclusion (1/2 a page) ? Please include a conclusion paragraph summarizing your paper and its main points, including any unanswered questions or remaining issues to be addressed.
o Bibliography ? Include all sources you used in your paper (no annotations).
