Case Study Assignment Expectations: Upon reading the background material for this module you should be able to discuss programs and interventions for the older American population in regards to heart disease.
For this Case Scenario: You wish to develop a health education program for a retirement community addressing heart disease.
1. First, you need to identify the needs of the community in relation to heart disease. What will you need to find out ? How will you go about this investigation? (Two-part Question)
2. Then you need to propose strategies and interventions for addressing heart disease in this community. How will the previous step inform this process? Will you focus on prevention or management of heart disease? Please explain. (Two-part Question)
3. What would be the specific issues that you think will be different for your program compared to programs for younger groups? Please explain your answer.
The paper answering these questions should be 2-3 pages long (utilizing 3-5 peer reviewed references). Please submit your case assignment to me when it is completed by the end of this module.
Please be sure to provide citation of sources consulted in preparing your paper in the body of the actual document itself (i.e. in addition to furnishing a reference list). Remember, any statement that you make that is not common knowledge or that originates from your synthesis or interpretation of materials you have read must have a citation associated with it. Appropriate Headings and Paper Flow
Remember that you are preparing a formal academic paper. Your paper should make use of appropriate headings and subheadings. You should not cut & paste the questions posed and answer them like a “Question and Answer” session. Your finished paper should read like an academic paper.
