d. Who is your demographic?
e. Do you anticipate a big-budget film or a small indy-style project?
3. Based on these objectives, describe how your production will be different from previous adaptations:
a. What period will it be set in?
b. What other genres might you invoke and how will you invoke them?
c. Where will film be shot (City? Geographical specifications? Indoor scenes?)
d. What other considerations will influence set and costume design?
e. What actors will you hire for leading roles?
WRITING ASSIGNMENT
In addition to the questionnaire above, you will submit:
A 250-500 word synopsis of the movie. This should include a short description of each of the leading roles.
A script for the film-project-in-progress that consists of (at least) one scene adapted and revised with consideration for your answers above. Please make sure to include Act and Scene information at the top of each scene.
PLUS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
a. A 250-500 word analysis of your adaptation that cites the argument of one of our theoretical?readings and explains how the adaptation should be viewed from the point of view of that?argument.
b. Another scene adapted and revised.
