Management/Treatment in the primary care physician setting – Describe your treatment plan, including pharmaceuticals, referrals, patient education, preventative/health promotion strategies (HUGE) and anticipated outcomes.
Contrasting current primary care practice, compare and contrast the changes in practice that have occurred during the last 20 years. How have the changes impacted health care (cost, patient outcomes, liability)
Evaluation tools specific to geriatric patients used to determine assessment of cognition, risk versus benefit, quality of life related to treatment (surgical intervention, chemotherapy/medications, radiation therapy), specific geriatric issues related to organ function, etc.
References – Use of at least 3 Evidence Based Practice/Research studies along with 8-10 peer reviewed journal +articles as well as the most current guidelines to validate your points.
