Designing a lesson plan.
The Objective.
Design and write a detailed 90 min EFL lesson plan with materials to teach an intermediate level group of learners. Use your knowledge of SLA research and its influence on the design of language teaching materials and tasks to create your lesson plan.You must make explicit reference to SLA where possible to explain the rationale behind the stages you plan. You can choose what you consider the most appropriate language teaching approach to match your teaching objective(s). You will probably have to consider factors such as the SLA model/position you would like to adopt for language pedagogy, the type of students you have and the factors affecting their L2 learning/language processing.
Instructions:
– The plan itself should not b included in the word count, so you can make the design and justification only 2400-2500 words and the rest for the plan. with referring to it when explaining.
– Must mention several SLA theories like Chomsky’s (Universal Grammar Theory) (Krashen’s input hypothesis.(Long’s interaction hypothesis).(Swain’s Output hypothesis) (Schmidt’s noticing hypothesis).
– I prefer if the plan is directed to monolingual English class whom their 1st language is arabic.
