Develop a 10-page term paper, not including title page, list of figures and tables
page, or references page (text should be Times New Roman 12-pt, double-spaced, with margins that do
not exceed 1.0 inches) with the following elements and structure:
1. Abstract — NO ABSTRACT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.
2. Introduction Paragraph: Single paragraph with five to seven sentences, minimum. This
paragraph should act as a road map to direct your reader through the document. This single
paragraph should provide the following for your reader:
a. Introduce the topic of the paper.
b. Explain why this topic is important (i.e. relevant) to your reader. Get your reader
interested in reading your paper.
c. Identify the main points that will be discussed in the paper. The main points identified
should closely match the section headings within the final paper.
d. Review APA6 section 2.05 for additional details.
2. Paper Main Body:
a. The paper should include at least three main points which are identified in both the
introduction paragraph and under a separate section heading within the paper. The
main points should be related (as applicable) to the following:
i. Background — purpose or mission of the program; development of the program
(who, what, where, when, why)
ii. What new technologies made the program possible?
iii. Were there any challenges (technological, economic, political, etc.) that had to
be overcome?
iv. How, if at all, has the program changed the aviation and/or space industry or
program; impacted the military, or society, or both; provided new technologies
for use in other disciplines; had a political, economic, or worldwide impact?
b. Use transition sentences between paragraphs and section-specific headings between
main point sections (see APA6 section 3.03 for the proper format.
c. Include relevant figures, tables, timelines, graphs, etc. as applicable to the topic. These
items should not be more that 1/5 of the overall paper length. Reference your figures,
tables, etc. within the text of the document.

3. Conclusion Paragraph: Single paragraph with five to seven sentences, minimum. This
paragraph should wrap up your main points and take your reader to a conclusion. You may also
pose ideas for future research related to your topic.
4. References Page: Provide a listing of all of the resources you used to write your paper. Format
each reference using the APA6 format. A minimum of 10 sources are required for this
assignment. Limit websites to 1/4 or less of your overall sources. Articles, papers, or journals
accessed using the Hunt Library databases WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED ON-LINE SOURCES.
