Task
You are to choose an organisation that you are familiar with that is undergoing a period of strategic change; for example it could be expanding into new markets or perhaps facing difficult times due to competitor pressure or any other strategic challenge. You are to analyse the strategic position of the organisation and how HRM can contribute to the change agenda within the business.
You should write a management report designed to be used by the Human Resources Director of your organisation to set the strategic direction of HRM in the organisation. Using the tools and techniques you have studied, you should consider the nature of the environment facing the business, what changes it is experiencing and why. Following this you need to clearly explain what actions may be needed within the HR sphere of control to ensure the organisation remains viable. You should draw reasoned conclusions from your analysis and make appropriate recommendations based on these thoughts
