Assignment Instructions and Requirements:
Write a paper in which you provide the following information:
Part 1. Two Interaction Design Models
Describe and compare/contrast two of the Interaction Design Models presented in
the textbook (Chapter 3). Include in-text citation for the textbook and/or other
sources, but do not quote; write only in your own words and write at least one full
page.
Part 2. Dashboard Requirements
For this part of the assignment, you will begin the process of developing a
“dashboard.” (Information about dashboards is found in the unit reading.) This
section is based loosely on examples given in the textbook, Chapter 4. Write the
following:
Introductory paragraph:

? A statement of general purpose of the dashboard
? Explain who would be primary users and stakeholders, and why
Collection of requirements:
? Identify at least four things you would look for as you directly observe
users
? Write at least four questions you would ask in a direct survey given to
users
? Explain why you chose these items to observe and ask, and what
information you might expect to gain
Requirements Document (this part may be presented as a set of lists):
? Functional requirements
? Information requirements
? Hardware requirements
? Inputs/Outputs
? Constraints
A paragraph that presents a summary or assessment of this plan
Part 3. Other Methods of Requirements Collection
Write at least one half page explaining methods of data collection other than direct
observation and surveys, and how they could help in the design process. Include
in-text citation for the textbook and/or other sources, but do not quote; write only in
your own words.
Notes:
? Your paper should show an understanding of the textbook reading.
? Submit your work as a Word document.
? Include a properly-formatted cover page.
? The paper’s body must use 10- or 12-size Times New Roman or Arial font and
meet other APA formatting requirements.
? Use sources that are appropriate for university work.
? Cite your sources within the body of the paper and provide a list of references at
the end in a separate References page. In-text citations and references should
be properly formatted according to APA guidelines.
? Use subheadings for each part of the paper so that your professor clearly sees
where each of the three main parts begins.

? Ensure that your work is not copied from any sources. Copying does not prove
an understanding of the material, and plagiarism will not be tolerated.
? An Abstract page and Table of Contents are not required.
