and your personal leadership philosophy (5 marks). Be sure to articulate your LP in as
much depth and detail as you can.
2. Then, identify the five* most important leadership skills, competencies or attributes that
you think will be required to succeed in your profession/occupation in the future. For
each one, list their main elements (please do not describe these in detail) (5 marks).
3. Next, select three of these and describe why an understanding of these are important
and/or of practical use to business leaders and/or their companies (20 marks). Please
include relevant real-life examples of business leaders and/or companies to illustrate your
answer.
4. Then, describe, specifically, how you will develop and enhance two of these leadership
skills, competencies or attributes over the next 4-5 years (10 marks). Please describe
specifically what you will do in the short-medium term to develop and enhance these.
5. In your conclusion, please describe what you have learned about leadership from
answering questions 1-4 (5 marks).
(* Please do not include strategic management and planning, or decision making skills in
your answer. While these are obviously important elements of business leadership, they
are covered on other MBA courses, not OB).
