PM (EST) � You are required to submit a 6-8 page (double-spaced per APA guidelines)
�Organizational Analysis Proposal� paper based upon what you have read in the
required course text and associated assigned course readings. The analysis will be
written as if you were an outside consultant hoping to be hired by the organization you
currently work for. (*You will not have to actually conduct an organizational analysis of
your workplace but rather just write a proposal/plan out-lining how you would propose to
do one step-by-step if you were hired as an outside consultant.) This assignment must be
emailed to me no later than 11:59 pm (EST) on October 10, 2014 at the following email
addresses: nedelkboyerd@duq.edu and CC:ing Donna.Nedelk@Gmail.com as a Word
Document in an attachment. Late submissions of this assignment will only be accepted if
requested and approved in writing prior to the October 10, 2014 due date/time. The
format for these written assignments MUST follow the Publication Manual of the
American Psychological Association (APA) (otherwise known as APA Style) guidelines
including in-text citation of ideas as well as meet the following guidelines:
All written research assignments must be or include the following:
? Double-spaced
? Free of grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors
? A clearly marked �Introduction� paragraph. Next, paragraphs that outline how
you propose to address the following three (3) tasks taken from the textbook as a
part of your Proposal: �Clarify Strategic Priorities� / �Define the Case For
Change� / �Set the Design Criteria�, and a clearly marked �Conclusion�
paragraph.

Criteria for grading written assignments include the following:
1.) Is there a clear introduction that sets a context for the reader?
2.) Is there a logical organization and flow to the paper?
3.) Are the paragraphs well developed, including evidence/research in support of the
writer�s ideas?
4.) Has the writer incorporated information from sources without always relying on
direct quotes?
5.) Have concepts from the text and other assigned readings been discussed clearly in
the paper and integrated with the writer�s own experiences or research?
6.) Was critical thinking evident in the writing?
7.) Is there a summary that pulls together the main points of the paper?
8.) Is the paper grammatically correct and free from punctuation/spelling errors?
9.) Has the APA style been used consistently and is there a reference page at the end
