Students will assess an aggregate level community health nursing issue in this scholarly paper utilizing a variety of data collection methods including:
scholarly articles, vital statistics, biostatistics, demographic data, interviews with key individuals and observations.

*TOPIC/HEALTH ISSUE: PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. Local data means within Lucas county, state data means in Ohio, national means USA
A) Introduce the topic (Physical Activity) and provide an overview of content in the paper.
B) Identify and describe the risk groups/factors that contribute to or constitute the problem.
C) Summarize the national literature related to the population & health issue. Local/state data should not be included here.
-Include a discussion of the national costs of this health issue.
-Describe what kind of national programs already exist to impact the problem. Use a minimum of one program research article that describes how effective a
program intervention for this problem has worked to impact the selected problem.
-Compare the extent of the problem with Healthy People 2020 statistics.
D) Describe the problem/issue in the local community. Include history, magnitude, and risk factors.

1. Identify the age group, selected population and designated
geographic community (e.g. older adults in Lucas County).
2. Describe significant demographic data (e.g. age, sex, race, culture, religion etc.) about the selected group.
