(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) You will identify all the DSM information (diagnostic features, specifier, subtypes, associated features and mental disorders, specific culture, age, and gender features, prevalence, course, familial pattern, differential diagnosis, criteria). You will identify diagnostic challenges. You will identify and evaluate the most common tools for assessing the disorder or condition (this may be paper/pencil tests or some other assessment). You will identify the most effective treatments for the condition.
You must have 10 professional references. The textbooks would count as three. You must have articles from peer-reviewed journals or information from professional or governmental sites as sources
The books for this course used are DSM 1V, (Text Books- Abnormal Psychology 10th edition-King, Davidson, Neale and Johnson authors and The Clinical Assessment workbook: Balancing Strength and Differential Diagnosis-Pomeroy and Wambach authors.) That could be three of the references.
