PowerPoint presentation-argumentative and entertaining (war history as fantasy)

4) Tutorial Presentation – Argumentative and Entertaining

This task is to encourage students’ analytical interpretation of the weekly Essential Reading. Each group is required to give a 10 minute presentation, which focuses on their own critical and individualistic interpretation of the reading.

Please make more than 6 PowerPoint slides as it is for 10 minutes presentation.

The topic on my presentation week is War History as Fantasy.

This is the essential reading for my presentation referencing detail (Harvard referencing system):
Hiromi Mizuno (2007)When Pacifist Japan Fights: Historicizing Desires in Anime, in Frenchy Lunning (Ed.) Mechademia: Networks of Desire, vol. 2, pp. 104-123

I only have to use this reading. Please let me know if you cannot find this reading. (If you could add more resources, it would be great.)

1. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation, including important points of the reading, the reasons why the presenters think the points are important, and critical and challenging questions about the reading;

2. Give an approximately 10 minute presentation using PowerPoint;

3. Challenge their audience with thought-provoking questions to generate ‘argumentative’ yet constructive class discussion for approximately 15 minutes;

4. Please make the PowerPoint presentation with notes.

5. Lead the continuing discussion in Blackboard for two weeks. Please make some questions relating your presentation and the reading for my peers, because I have to post the questions online discussion board to lead the discussion later as well.

6. Post one message which include their reflections on the in-class and online discussion and concluding comments at the end of two weeks after their presentation

Could you please make the PowerPoint slides in more details of the essential reading with notes as I couldnt attend presentation in class and I only have to post the PowerPoint slides online tutorial board and I cant explain details of the slides in front of class mates?

I will upload lecture notes for that week and samples of my peers presentations.
