PowerPoint Presentation Project:
Students will be required to create a slide presentation (20 slides) outlining and discussing a topic
relative to the field of Oceanography that will be worth 100 points. Example subjects that might be
covered can be GLOBAL WARMING’S EFFECT ON THE OCEAN, POLLUTION AND CORAL REEFS, HUMAN
IMPACTS ON THE SEA, and specific marine organisms such as DOLPHINS just to name a few. Photos,
figures, and graphs can be helpful in covering the topic and are encouraged. The final slide in your
presentation should list the material referenced for the presentation and only SCIENTIFIC information
will be accepted (NO WIKIPEDIA). Your presentation will be due in the appropriate DROPBOX the week
before finals (04/25/2014). Be sure to select a topic that is truly interesting to you so that the
assignment is enjoyable and a pleasant learning experience, in other words have fun doing it.
Presentations will be graded mainly for informative substance
