This assignment is for chapters 1-5 of Slaughter-House-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
For this assignment, you will
1. Ask a question of the text (usually about a specific passage) and then answer the question by offering a thesis or topic sentence indicating a basic observation or assertion about the text or passage.
2. Offer context about the passage without offering too much summary.
3. Cite the passage (using correct format)
4. Then follow the passage with some combination of the following elements:
-Discuss what happens in the passage and why it is significant to the work as a whole.
-Consider what is said, considering how the word choice, the order of ideas, sentence structure,ect., contribute to the meaning of the passage.
-Explains what it means, typing your analysis of the passage back to the significance of the text as a whole.
-Explain why this particular passage is striking to you or why it caught your attention.
