Pick a theme from “THEMES” portion of the text book (p.453-589; see 453 for a straight forward list). In 10-15 slide powerpoint (or word document set up to look like a presentation), describe/explain your chosen theme from the book using at least 4 different art examples. Your presentation should include the following: a detailed description of the theme in general (what does it mean to be about “gender”, or what does it mean to be about “war”) at least 4 different examples of art that fits in that theme and detailed explanation of why/how. This could be about content, form, context, etc.. at least 4 pictures (not clip art) a works cited page that includes at least 3 citations (your textbook can be one) and citations in the body of your presentation more information than can be found in the book (don’t just regurgitate info from the book–research a bit) slides that are legible and not filled with text –think oral presentation Remember–this is the final presentation that I will see from you…it is your time to shine and let me know that you grasped the content so use the correct vocabulary and weave it all together. 🙂
