6- Select the appropriate router with fault tolerance.
7- What routing protocol to use.
8- Load balancing.
9- Prioritization for the traffic (priority queuing, custom queuing, and weighted fair queuing ).
10- Encapsulation and VPN.
11- Select your router hardware at each site.
Distribution layer:
1- What access to use.
2- Policies to be applied.
3- Protocol gateway service and when to apply.
4- Helper addressing ( Value-added Network addressing) and proxying .
5- What cables to use (switches, Hubs, and layer 3 switches).
6- IP address scheme.
