On the other hand, Rajeev Bhargava suggests, that world is governed by two sets of international laws, one exclusive to America and its allie, and the other for the rest of the non-western world. "A single American life is worth more than a thousand others" says Bhargava in his essay " Responses to 9.11: Individual and Collective Dimensions". This suggests that there is still a tremendous distance between what it means to live an American life and what it means to live a life in another part of the world.
