Unforgiven

List of Topics for Essays #1 and #2
Please choose two of the following topics as the basis for your two five-page essays. For the first essay, you should choose from the first set of topics, listed under the heading “Essay #1.” For the second essay, you should choose from the second set of topics, listed under the heading “Essay #2.” The readings listed below under each topic heading are available in the “content” section of D2L. An outline for organizing each topic into an essay is also available under the “content” section of D2L. A sample essay on Double Indemnity is also available under the title “sample essay” in the “content” section of D2L. You will be required in each essay to write an organized, detailed analysis of how one of the films in each set of topics below illustrates the points made in the readings and our textbook. I have placed a VHS copy of each film on 2-hour reserve at the Miller Learning Center. Please use the appropriate bibliography below as the bibliography for your essay. Please use only 12 point-Times typeface.
You will also be required in each essay to incorporate the sources listed under each topic, cite each source in the essay, and list these sources in a formal bibliography at the end. Please do not use fan-based websites such as Wikipedia. Please keep a hard copy of each essay you turn in. Please also retain the graded essay that is returned to you. No late essays will be accepted. Please analyze only one film in your essay.
