The pace and extent of increasing changes at work require workers to continually learn and update skills through continuing education and training (CET) provisions and remain adaptable, multi-skilled and flexible. Recent research shows that most of the learning for CET takes place at work rather than going off-site to a tertiary education and training institute (Billett et al., 2012). This is also how workers prefer to learn in the future. The most frequently reported and preferred approaches to engage in CET are through:
i. individuals working and learning when performing work tasks, and being assisted by other co-workers
ii. group processes facilitated or guided by experts
iii. integration of experiences in work and education settings and
iv. direct structured support for learning from a more experienced worker to individuals or groups.
Draw on the theoretical, conceptual and practical understanding of workplace learning that you gained in this course and critically analyse and evaluate these four approaches for Australian workers. Consider the different stakeholders such as workers, their managers, tertiary education and training institutions and policy makers and discuss the implications for how CET provisions might need to be organised in workplaces and educational institutions within Australia.

Conclusion
? Discuss the implications for the different stakeholders for how continuing education and training provisions might need to be organised for Australian workers.
Use relevant literature to support your arguments.
