Concert Report

This is a concert report on the National Symphony Orchestra’s performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on March 21, 2014. The program was conducted by Christoph Eschenbach and featured soprano Christine Goerke and bass-baritone John Relyea. The concert was held in celebration the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss’s birthday and included four of his works: Don Juan, Op. 20, Recognition Scene from Elektra, "Dance of the Seven Veils", Op. 54, and Final Scene form Salome.
