*Description: The Australian government recently released sea level rise maps through the OzCoasts
website1
. These maps present sea level rise predictions for three scenarios that correspond with
projections made by the IPCC. These scenarios include: a 0.5 m rise by 2100; a 0.8 m rise by
2100; and a 1.1 m rise by 2100. For this exercise you are required to download and examine
eight sea level rise maps. These maps should come from two locations—Melbourne and southeast Queensland. Pick two sites within each of these locations and for each site copy both the low
and high scenario maps. This will give a total of eight maps (two sites each in Melbourne and
south-east Queensland and two maps for each site).
