Your company is considering moving your car manufacturing assembly plant from the U.S. to Mexico.

Your boss has asked you to provide a summary analysis of the relocation, a strategic planning document of the move versus non-move for your company’s final decision.

Draw the analysis in the following format:

1. The benefits of moving the plant to Mexico
2. The costs or consequences of moving the plant to Mexico
3. The affected or impacted stakeholders
4. The strategic implications of moving to Mexico versus not moving there
5. Your HRM and training plan
6. Your intended stance towards social responsibility while there, including your rationale.
7. Some key factors about the culture and conditions of the typical Mexican factory workers in that area (did you choose a specific area or city to locate in or just general facts about Mexico will do here) and what might motivate workers there versus a discussion of the culture/conditions and motivation of the workers here in the US.
8. Conclusions and your final recommendations to your company and boss on whether or not to make the move.

Book Review: Animal Farm Analyze Allegory

An Allegory is a symbolic narrative in which the surface details imply a secondary meaning. Allegory often takes the form of a story in which the characters represents moral qualities.
People, Places, Events
Choose two or more characters – not boxer or clover – two or more places, or two or more events to analyze the parallel in Russian history.
Brainstorming – using boxer and clover as examples.
Boxer represents the proletariat or the lower class working people who were usually peasants who are hard working, easily persuaded like the uneducated class, and seemingly dedicated to authority. Also clover represents the motherly or matronly aspects of the working people.
Working Thesis: Shortly before the Russian Revolution, the working classes in Russia were being denied their rights which lead them to overthrow the Czar. In Animal Farm, Boxer most closely represents the working class or proletariat of Russia.
Remember you must have three sources; one must be the novel and the other two must be academic sources, not general sources.
Introduction: Short summary – no more than three sentences of the book that leads to thesis.
Sample introduction
George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm was published in 1945 and is an allegory of Russian history from World 1 through the regime of Stalin. In it the animals overthrow the farmer and take control of the, and at first things go rather smoothly, but by the end the animals are no better off than they were before the revolution. During the time of the farmer who represents the ruler of Russia, the working classes were being denied their rights and this led them to overthrow the ruler. In this book, Boxer and Clover most closely represents the working class or proletariat.
Second Paragraph – should relate one or two Boxer’s and Clover’s actions and how this is what was happening in Russian history.
Third Paragraph – Same as second but different actions.
Fourth Paragraph – Can be developed like second and third or can be conclusion.
Sample working theses
Napoleon’s counterpart in Russian History from 1917 to the end of World War two appears to be Stalin who exemplifies how authority can be abused and corrupted.
The events leading up to the expulsion of Mr. Jones and the later activities established by the pigs are closely parallel to the events of the Russian Revolution from 1917 to World War two which show how a revolution can fall apart without the right leadership.
The attitudes of the neighboring farms most closely represent Germany and England before and after the Russian Revolution and shows how easily a group can be a friend or enemy based on the circumstances at the time.
Critics have speculated that if Trotsky – represented by Snowball – had been able to maintain his leadership that the fate of the Russian Revolution and the people would have been different. The critics are wrong. Trotsky and Stalin were two sides of the same coin.
Any new government needs people not just the top people – like leaders or the just the bottom – the working class. It also needs the middle class to provide balance between the two. Mollie who represents the middle class is a prime example of what happened during the Russian Revolution and afterwards when the upper middle class and middle class people fled Russia.
