– Survey has been made by me for some of the self-study skills (reading skills, time management and Test preparation) the survey was handled to 15 international students at Oxford Brookes International. 9 of them are from Japan, 3 from Saudi Arabia and 1 from Kuwait 2 from china and their ages is between 18 to 25. The results are below:
Time management skill:

Requirement:
– Word count: between 900 to 1000 words (excluding the abstract & the Reference list).
– Purpose of the report: is to investigate what the level of self-study skills is amongst international students, and to make a recommendations on how the university can help international students develop these skills further, and where this might be addressed in the University English Programme.

– Discussion section: Must be divided into three paragraphs each one discusses one aspect of self-study skills that I choose (reading skills, time management and test preparation).
– Need 4 separate useful sources (better to be academic).
– In the discussion section give the reason.
– The language of the Report must be simple and clear with academic vocabulary.
– The longest part in the report is the Discussion and the Findings.
– Use in-text citations and quotation.in the discussion if needed.
– The report must contain the following section:
– Please avoid plagiarism.
1- Abstract:
(Summary of the whole report, the purpose of the research, the importance of the topic, the method used to collect data to answer the research question, significant findings and their implication, and concluding comments, including suggestions, recommendations and/or implications (where appropriate)).

2- Introduction (General background, the important or significant of this topic, definition of any key terms and the aim of this research and the scope of the research).

3- Methodology (what sort of information was required in order to address the question e.g numbers/ statistics for quantitative research, how the information was gathered and how the information was used or analysed to answer the research question). ( my survey and other secondary sources)

4- Findings (show the evidence which will be used to answer the research question) my survey and use another secondary research: a good sources.

5- Discussion (this section where you will discuss the date from the previous section, no new data should be provided in this section but you should pick out significant information from the findings section and relate this to the research question).

– Restatement of the research question
– A summary of the most significant findings
– Any limitations based on the research for example, limited source.
– Recommendation based on the findings of your research
– Implication of your findings- what does it mean in the wider context?
– General comment to finish.

7- Reflective statement.
8- Reference list (list in Harvard style, arrange in alphabetical order, this must contain a list of all the reference you have included in the main part of the research report).
