Handling customer frustrations

How should organizations ensure that customers don’t become frustrated but if they do how should they handle them after it occurs? Do potential and/or prospective buyers empathize with buyers who were frustrated?

Answer the questions and defend the positions you take in each of your answers.

Ensure that you repeat the assignment question (in bold above) in full and verbatim on the title sheet of your paper.

For its part, JetBlue claims not to care whether Congress wades into the issue. “From the start, our customer bill of rights was designed to be broader, deeper, and more meaningful for our customers than anything that will come out of Congress,” says JetBlue spokesman Don Usselman.

Expectations

In preparing your CASE5; you need to demonstrate your learning of the concepts and frameworks for analysis outlined in the modular learning objectives. In particular, are expected to:
Give a brief definition of frustration and show the circumstances that cause buyer frustration

In preparing your 3-4 page paper, keep in mind that businesses need to be prepared for unforeseen events. What can the company do to prevent undesirable circumstances and what should the company do when faced with a problem or set of problems? In the case of Jet Blue, the company was faced with a crisis that threatened is immediate future. Jet Blue reacted quickly by stating its remedies and commitments to its customers before government intervention and mandates could be put into place that might have been less favorable to Jet Blue and the airline industry as a whole. Did the airline do the right thing?

Airline travel has changed and continues to change almost daily resulting from the rising cost of fuel. Changes include limiting the number of daily flights, providing bare-bones service to passengers, and rising ticket prices. Passengers are also less willing to tolerate inconveniences such as delayed flights and are now challenging the companies for those inconveniences.

Note that this assignment does NOT require you to prepare a detailed essay. Instead use section headings for each of the topics you address in your paper followed by a discussion of that topic.

miss you and wedding duet discussion

  • There 4 different short essays I want you to make.
  • For each essay, please make sure that it contains 250+ words each.
  • For your reference, please use the book: A Short Guide to Writing About Literature, 12th edition, by Sylvan Barnet and William Cain, Pearson/Longman Press, 2012, ISBN: 0205118453” in writing the paper.
  • These essays will be related to the article, title “miss you” and “Wedding Duet”. (Part 1 and 2 related to the “Miss You” article and Part 3 and 4 related to the “Wedding Duet)

Part 1 (use article “ Miss you “)

In the Order: #2556619 that made by the writer ID: U3684, you have made an essay that related to the article “Miss You”. The essay is about “For this Write-Up, you need to use the questions “Nonverbal Language” on page 215 of our Short Guide book to help you to imagine how the actors performing this play would move, speak, and behave on stage while talking on the phone. Where would the woman be? Her lover? Her husband? How would you have them dressed to communicate their character traits? Would they be on land lines or cell phones? Would they be sitting, or standing, or walking, or moving? Explain how you would use the staging, costuming, lighting, music (called the mise-en-scene) to support the dialogue and the theme of the film? Have fun with this! You need to not only tell us what you’d do with the staging of the play, but explain why, too.”

Your task is not about making an essay based on the topic given but rather you need to give a response to the comment made by the people regarding the topics. Give a response on how you think this person has the strongest comment. Make sure that you give positive point.

The person below is giving her comment regarding the article title “Girl”. Please use “ I” as me the respond writer and “you” to refer writer of the comment instead of stating her name.

Comment by Angely D Chand

The first scene of the play sets up the importance of body language and attitude to understanding the theme and characters of the play. The reader can visualize woman 1 rolling her eyes as man 1 blurts out his emotions to her even without full descriptions of what either one looks like. The importance in the tone of reading the play creates a visual image of the characters. The change from woman 1’s attitude when she switches between phone calls develops her persona of being a cheating wife.

The setting is an important factor to the character’s attitude. Woman 1 would be at her home, a nice suburban home that she bought with her business minded husband. Her character would dress sexy, showing off her assets to attract the eyes of many men. She would be wearing a tight dress, and high heels. This would help boost her pride because her husband is travelling to far away places. She would be pacing in the kitchen on her cordless house phone as she switches between her husband and lover, running her hands through her silky hair as she flirts with man 2. She would come off as a bit childish towards man 2, but bored with man 1.

Woman 2 would be a hard working woman who does not dress sexy because she wants to be taken seriously in the business world. Her face would have little make-up and her hair would be straight and dull. Due to the lack of her sex appeal her husband flirts and sleeps with various women. She would be calling man 2 from her private office after deliberating that she couldn’t take his cheating habits anymore. She would be trying to keep her cool about the situation but would fail miserably due to the bitterness she feels.

Man 1 would be the average Joe type of guy he would not look too good or too ugly. He would just easily blend in with the crowd. He would be a very hard worker traveling all around to be able to afford a good life for his beautiful wife. He seems like he would always be excited to get home to his beautiful wife therefore pacing back and forth in the airport terminal running his hand through his messy hair in his disshevled suit and tie. He would be talking on his cellphone flipping it between hands as he paced back and forth, all the while having a huge smile on his face.

Man 2 is brawny and handsome and he also works in the business world, but at a lower position than man 1. He dresses similar to man 1 but puts extra attention into his look, combing his hair and being clean-shaven. He often takes women to bed while his wife is out working. He isn’t a stupid guy because he is able to get beautiful women to sleep with him, but he doesn’t have good moral standards. He does not really care about his wife’s feelings, and would not be to upset if she left, but does not want to initiate talks about ending the marriage.

The staging of the play would have to work to each character’s persona. The make up would have to be heavy on woman 1 playing on her need for beauty and the ability to attract many men. Man 1 should have little dark circles under his eyes to show his lack of sleep for overworking himself to get back home to his wife. The lighting should be bright in the airport and business office of man 1 and woman 2 as they are in public spaces where they don’t have control of the lighting. The lighting should be more dark and intimate for man 2 and woman 1 who are at their homes in privacy planning secret affairs.

The music should play on the humorous tone of the play and be wacky as each character flips through the phone calls. The use of proper mise-en-scenes on each character symbolizes the mischief behind the serious theme of cheating and love. The costumes and staging need to quickly illustrate the characters, while the tone and dialogue between couples should enhance the theme and plot of the play.

Part 2 (use article “ Miss You “)

Please refer to the book “ A Short Guide in Writing about Literature.” analyze the irony in the play. Define irony – what is it? Give examples of where you see it in the play. Is this play a tragedy or a comedy? How do you know? What does the tight dialogue tell us about the characters? Who do we empathize with? Why?

Part 3 (use article “ Wedding Duet “)

In the Order: #2556619 that made by the writer ID: U3684, you have made an essay that related to the article “Wedding Duet”. The essay is about “For this Write-Up, you need to use the questions “Plot and Conflict” on page 214 of our Short Guide book to discuss what the conflict is in this play (or the conflicts, if you feel there are more than one), and how the plot is propelled by the conflict. Is the plot predictable? If so, where is it foreshadowed?”

Your task is not about making an essay based on the topic given but rather you need to give a response to the comment made by the people regarding the topics.

The person below is giving her comment regarding the article title “Wedding Duet”. Please use “ I” as me the respond writer and “you” to refer writer of the comment instead of stating her name. Discuss the conflict in this play

Comment by Hanna Johnson

“Wedding Duet” by Lauren Wilson, is about a newly married overly emotional woman and impatient man. Everything seems to be going perfectly until the groom drops his wife on the threshold. At first she thinks it’s funny, and then suddenly bursts into tears. This is where the conflict emerges. It is surprising to see this drastic change in emotion over something so little. She has a very negative view of things ranging from how she can “never do anything right” to how all she “could think about what how much money it [the wedding] cost and how her parents are going to die”; laughter to doom and gloom in a matter of seconds.

The husband immediately tries to resolve the small conflict by kneeling down with her in the doorway and telling her “it’s not a big deal”. He doesn’t want to sit down and listen to what she has to say or “talk it out” with her. One thing turns into another, and suddenly the bride is taking everything too personally like how he called her “puffy” or how he told her she’s flipping out. Eventually the argument escalates to an all-out fight where the bride breaks her ankle and the groom loses a tooth. After their physical fight, the two sit there and make sure the other is okay. At the end they kiss and make up, seeming to solve the conflict.

The plot and conflict go together in this story. The plot is about a newly married couple getting into a huge fight just three and a half hours after they were married. The conflict emerges because the woman is too emotional and the husband is not understanding or patient enough to deal with her wild emotions. The clash of personalities leaves the reader wondering why they got married in the first place, and the story gives surprising twists when the two start laughing together in the middle of an argument. Perhaps the ability to make up so fast really shows how much they love each other despite their fighting.

Part 4 (use article “ Wedding Duet “)

Please refer to the book “ A Short Guide in Writing about Literature.” What is the significance of the wedding/marriage on the conflict? How do you envision the staging of this play, exactly? What is the play’s theme? How does the plot/conflict propel that theme? What are the parts of narrative that you see (page 201+ of Short Guide identifies them)? Use the “Writing about Plot” questions on page 204 to guide the discussion of the plot and how it functions in this play. Have fun with discussing staging!

Mental Illness

You have recently been employed by a small rural hospital as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room. The hospital does not provide any mental health services. You are assigned the task of gathering information for your supervisor that would help develop a plan to place the mentally ill in appropriate care. In your report to your supervisor, include your responses to the following: What is the definition of mental illness? Can mental illness be as clearly defined as a physical illness such as diabetes? Can mental illness be cured? Has the concept of deinstitutionalization been effective in providing needed services to the mentally ill? Why or why not? What populations or groups were most adversely affected by deinstitutionalization? What are the benefits of deinstitutionalization? Are health care professionals who provide mental health care integrated with other systems of care? What are the consequences of separating mental health from physical health care? What other services (social and health) might be needed by the mentally ill? What are three governmental sources that pay for mental health care? What populations are covered by these sources? What are some of the challenges to using a managed care approach in mental health care? How does a managed care model of mental health care reduce health care spending? How would you ensure the mentally ill are placed into the appropriate care facility? Discuss the ethical and legal implications

Write a 1,000-word essay that relates the characters in the play to ethical dilemmas presented in An Enemy of the People.

Please read the play: An Enemy of the People. You will learn about an environmental crisis and the moral dilemma it creates for a number of the characters.
As a response to this situation, you will write a 1,000-word paper.
In the first half of your paper you will select three of the characters listed below: analyse their character; describe each of their positions on the problem of the springs; and, explain the arguments each gives to support their position.
Tom Stockmann
Peter Stockmann
Hovstad
Catherine Stockmann
Morten Kiil
Horster
In the second half of your paper, answer one of the following three questions below:
1How should one resolve the “trilemma” which Tom Stockmann faces? He has a duty to his profession, a duty to his family, and a duty to his employer. Doing any one of his duties violates another. Which should take precedence? Can you have a duty to your society that the society does not want you to fulfill? Is Dr. Stockmann really a traitor to his town? Is he a hero? Who’s right in Kirsten Springs?

2Should the free speech rights of political dissenters be suspended in times of public emergency or crisis? Aren’t some IDEAS, even if true, dangerous and threatening to the majority’s interests? Must a community tolerate and protect the lone dissenter, even when the majority believes him or her to be wrong? To what extent is the media obliged to provide a venue for unpopular opinions?

3What is the appropriate role for scientific experts in a democratic community? To what extent should citizens trust the experts? Are they obliged to learn enough about science to judge issues concerning pollution, the environment, nuclear energy, etc., for themselves? Does the right to vote convey a responsibility to learn something about public affairs? Does a special knowledge of science give a person the right to lead or govern? As global challenges increasingly require specialized knowledge in science and technology, wouldn’t it be better if governments were run by scientists and engineers?

Complementary Alternative Therapies in Nursing

Many consumers are using alternative treatments such as manual healing methods. It is important that nurses are able to research and read the available research on these therapies and discern if these methods are beneficial and safe for consumers.

Using the library, search for a research article on manual healing methods. The article should be on the use and research of 1 type of manual healing method (such as massage, chiropractic, pressure point therapy, or acupuncture).

Select 1 article, and write an article critique by answering the following questions:

What is the study about? (Explain the purpose—what the intent was).
How was the study done? (What was the “N”? N = sample size. Describe what interventions occurred in the study.)
What were the results of the study? (Describe the results, where the findings significant?)
What additional questions might I have?
