What kinds of personal “foibles” or “mistakes” are fair game for the press and for citizens?

What kinds of personal “foibles” or “mistakes” are fair game for the press and for citizens? At what point do (or should) past personal “mistakes” stop mattering in the choice for a U.S. president? Given our familiarity with the personal flaws of past presidents, is it fair to predict the accomplishments or failures of a presidency based on such experiences or characteristics? More broadly, what attributes are on your “wish list” for the U.S. president, or alternatively, which characteristics matter to you and which don’t?

Science? Art? Or Both?

Based upon what you have read about Herodotus and Thucydides–their aims and their methods–think about what we have learned about the Greeks, their accomplishments and what remains of these. Consider too all the various tools used to teach you about Greek history as it was presented to you Duiker and by Andrea.
Now you will engage in a debate by posting a discussion set. One major post and three peer responses. To begin, select two examples from the types of evidence below that come from the two textbooks and the eCore online material. To avoid redundancy you may not choose the same two listed items as one of your classmates for you major post. Your major post should be at least 3-4 paragraphs in length and should describe how one can use scientific and artistic approachs to explain the significance of the items to understand the ancient Greeks and to write a history of the Greeks. Cite all your sources in Turabian format.
You will then respond to three of your classmates by building on what they said by adding a pertinent historical point. Do not repeat the same historical considerations. Cite all your sources in Turabian format.

Individual Reflection on Team Experience

Individual Reflection on Team Experience

Teamwork is an important skill in today’s workplace whether it’s virtual teams or face-to-face. This individual assignment will give you the opportunity to reflect on your team experience and connect it to concepts and theories presented in the course. You are asked to describe how your group/team evolved over the term of the course including:
• What were the dynamics that occurred between the members and within the group? How do they compare to the textbook description of group dynamics?
• What structure emerged for the group? How did your group’s process compare to the process described in the textbook?
• Was there any conflict that may have arisen in your group? How was it resolved? How does this compare to the process of conflict described in the textbook?
• Did your group have a leader? If so, how were they chosen?
• What communication issues did you encounter in your group? How were the problems resolved?

You are then asked to connect your experience with group dynamics concepts presented in the course to illustrate their relevance. You are also asked to compare and contrast your intra-group conflict experience with techniques presented in the course. The reflection paper should be 10-15 pages in length and should include references to the textbook as well as at least 5 relevant journal articles. (11 pages total including table of contents and reference list)

The format of your paper should be as follows:

1. Table of contents
2. Introduction
3. Evolution of the group/team over the term
4. Group/team dynamics
5. Group structure
6. Intergroup/intra-group conflict
7. Summary
8. Reference List

Note:
• More than 5 journals should be cited
• Discusses group conflict and compares and contrasts with two relevant course concepts or theories.
• Discusses group dynamics and provides limited illustration with two relevant course concepts and/or theories.
• Provides sufficient information about the team’s evolution to provide robust context for the rest of the paper; provides Introduction, Summary and Table of Contents.

About my team experiences (Some info just so you can develop more on each one):

• We are 6 in the team.

• We all choose 1 team leader. Her name is Danai.

• At first when we all meet, dania was the only one speaking at all time and that is why we decided to choose her, also she seemed like she wanted to be the group leader.

• Danai is a very hard and efficient co worker and a very good team leader. The only bad thing will be that she gets really scared and I feel it transmit insecurity to the team before taking decisions.

• The rest of the group are called: Megan, David, Santiago and Catherine.

• Starting with Catherine: She is a really hard worker and does everything really fast. She is very friendly as well and she makes groups meeting to be worth meeting. (just like Santiago). The only cons will be that she does it so fast that sometimes the rest of the team doesn’t understand her points, so it makes us loos time, but she was at first like this now she is doing it perfectly.

• Santiago is a very friendly guy easy to work with and he is the one that works with the logic in the team. For example, when implementing a new strategy or idea he quickly identifies what we need from that strategy. And example will be, when we as a team decided to make a survey for employees to analyze their opinions about the companies goals, And quickly he suggested that doing a closed question survey will be the most efficient way of analyzing the results we gathered, and as a team we changed the survey and did it as he said because he was totally right. Probabily the best person to work with and better team mate.

• Megan is very friendly and nice to work with she is always on time and ready to work. Probably the nicest person to work with in the group excluding Santiago.

• David is very friendly too I think we develop at first a pretty good relation between each other. We had our discussions regarding our topic and our paper but we knew exactly how to manage every single discussion between us two.
