Write a media semiotics essay proposal, don’t write the whole essay just a proposal for the essay the instructions are below. The topic I have chosen was the God Father Trilogy, you don’t have to include all the 3 movies just the significant parts such as the baptism the wedding, and any other part that is important to the story that can be analyzed by using media semiotics. Must have a clear research question. You must also add 7 scholar sources to the bibliography.

Instructions:

The final paper is a sustained analysis of your choice of media text(s), using the methods of analysis developed in class. You may also choose to analyze a word or an emotion. In preparing your paper, you must:

•discuss your planned choice of text with me at the latest November 13 (in person or by email)
•submit a proposal by November 20 including: a clear research question, thesis or hypothesis; a one page discussion of the topic and planned analysis; and an annotated bibliography of no fewer than 6 scholarly sources that you will use (and which you must already have consulted to determine their use).

Choice of text:

The choice is up to you – it should reflect your media interests. Options include: a film; a website; one or two magazines; an episode of a television show, or selected scenes from various episodes of one television show; one or two newspapers; two music videos; two commercials; a brand. In addition, you could choose a shopping center, theme park or other architectural space (which you should visit in preparing your analysis).

Analysis:

You should structure your analysis around some of the following key signifying factors:

•oppositions within the text
•;how it aims to construct subject positions or ideas of the self for readers/viewers/consumers
how it contributes to and/or contests ideology
•how it produces social myth
