Using theories, and ideas from the module, its core text and lectures, as well as your own research, you will put together a portfolio that delivers the following tasks (bearing in mind section 3) and submit it, as outlined above, by 25th April 2013
Base you answers for all these tasks on the same retail organisation you have used in Portfolio 1.
Provide the same brief explanation of the organisation, together with its website URL, as you did so in the first portfolio. (This explanation will not count towards the wordcount and will also not be formally assessed- it is so the reader understands your organisation)
5.1 Task 1
Choose ONE position within the retail organisation (and state it). Consider that a new person came into the organisation into that job.
? Explain how you would go about analysing the person?s learning needs beyond the induction.
? Design a training programme for one potential learning need they may have, justifying the design.
5.2 Task 2
The retail organisation has a problem with absenteeism in its physical retail store, (If you don?t have the real figures, assume it is running at 8.3%.)
? Justify a process for looking into the problem that may provide an appropriate solution.
? Suggest 3 appropriate ideas that the organisation could use to improve the situation.
5.3 Task 3
Choose One job in the retail organisation and do one of the following (state which):

5.4 Task 4.
? Through your own research, present an analysis of the retail organisation?s approach to employee relations (using relevant theories you have learned in the module).
5.5 Task 5
Your retail organisation has decided to shut at least one of its physical store(s)!
? Outline and explain a fair process for ending the employment relationship, bearing in mind the needs of those who remain.
