The assignment is a call to action persuasive speech that follows Monroe’s motivated sequence

The assignment is a call to action persuasive speech that follows Monroe’s motivated sequence. The topic must be relevant and something the audience can take action to. I would like to do a speech on beginning to invest early for retirement, as in IRA’s and 401k’s. Argument including the power of compound interest and possibly the fact that social security may not be there for our generation so that is why investing is important. The speech must be between 8-10 minutes and include at least 4 sources. The speech must also be adapted for the type of audience that I will be speaking to. I have included a list of documents provided from my teacher that thoroughly explains the assignment, one of which covers the different audience types and approach for that audience. Currently I am unsure what type of audience although I have class on Monday and can poll the class but I am thinking they would be either uninformed or favorable in theory. Please read the documents included to get a better understanding of the assignment. Help on filling out the outline would also be appreciated. This is for an Intro Speech Class.

Refer to peer reviewed literature to describe the mode of action of one cell signalling pathway (one page), each student will write about an assigned pathway

1. Refer to peer reviewed literature to describe the mode of action of one cell signalling pathway (one page), each student will write about an assigned pathway.
2. Construct a table showing the history of discovery of this pathway, with an emphasis on the most recent discoveries (one page), be sure to give attribution to the researchers who originally published the discoveries.

Therefore be very careful in selecting relevant material to include in your assignment. Title page, references, figure and table legends (and/or additional figures or tables) do not contribute to the total page count (although they must be included within the document). Source your literature primarily from peer review journal articles, use database services such as PubMed, Web of Science or Google Scholar to find relevant articles. Use Harvard style referencing. Figures and tables should be drawn/tabulated by yourself to highlight or summarise key aspects of you discussion. Your research into the topic is self directed, think of some questions to ask yourself whilst you read the literature such as: What is the purpose of the signalling pathway? How does it operate? To what extent is the pathway conserved across species? What is known about the pathway in model organisms? Were model organisms important in gaining an understanding of the pathway? What biological techniques were important in delineating the pathway? What was the timeline of discovery? How well is the pathway understood? What are the current areas of research being pursued in regard to this pathway? Is the pathway implicated in disease? Is there a family of proteins involved in the pathway? Does the pathway exhibit different characteristics in different tissue? How well is the pathway defined? What research tools are available to study this pathway? What aspects of this pathway are shared with other signalling pathways.

Construction Safety-Fall Accidents and Fall Protection

Accidents from falling are one of the leading causes of death and injuries in the construction industry. Find and review
several articles in professional publications on construction-related fall accidents. Also, find and review several sample fall
protection programs for construction companies, as well as visit www.osha.gov for relevant fall protection requirements.
Choose at least one accident you would like to research further and construct a paper that includes the following:
– A brief introduction of the problem with fall-related accidents in the construction industry.
– A review and analysis of the fall accident chosen for further research.
– A detailed discussion on the causative factors associated with the fall accident.
– A sample fall protection program developed to suit only the type of work being performed in the accident that is
being reviewed. Be specific and include the factors related to the accident. (Do not include portions of a program
not directly related to the work in the researched accident.)
 A summary of the student’s conclusions on fall hazards in the construction industry, and opinions on the necessity
for a fall protection plan.

Human resource managemnt; Using theories, and ideas from the module, its core text and lectures, as well as your own research, you will put together a portfolio that delivers the following tasks

Using theories, and ideas from the module, its core text and lectures, as well as your own research, you will put together a portfolio that delivers the following tasks (bearing in mind section 3) and submit it, as outlined above, by 25th April 2013

Base you answers for all these tasks on the same retail organisation you have used in Portfolio 1.
Provide the same brief explanation of the organisation, together with its website URL, as you did so in the first portfolio. (This explanation will not count towards the wordcount and will also not be formally assessed- it is so the reader understands your organisation)
5.1 Task 1
Choose ONE position within the retail organisation (and state it). Consider that a new person came into the organisation into that job.
? Explain how you would go about analysing the person?s learning needs beyond the induction.
? Design a training programme for one potential learning need they may have, justifying the design.
5.2 Task 2
The retail organisation has a problem with absenteeism in its physical retail store, (If you don?t have the real figures, assume it is running at 8.3%.)
? Justify a process for looking into the problem that may provide an appropriate solution.
? Suggest 3 appropriate ideas that the organisation could use to improve the situation.
5.3 Task 3
Choose One job in the retail organisation and do one of the following (state which):
? If you are familiar with the job, then Using a total reward perspective categorise and explain whether and how the different rewards associated with that job fit with what the business is trying to achieve.
OR
? If you are not familiar with he actual rewards available, then using a total reward perspective suggest, categorise and explain how the different rewards associated with that job fit with what the business is trying to achieve.
5.4 Task 4.
? Through your own research, present an analysis of the retail organisation?s approach to employee relations (using relevant theories you have learned in the module).
5.5 Task 5

Church Health Case Study

A case study will be completed as part of the course. The paper should be submitted according to standard procedures for Submission of Assignments.
Students will write a paper as though you have completed the following–Use your imagination!!!:

? Select a local church as the subject for your case study (select a church which you know you will be given a substantial level of access to the senior leadership of the church). This may be the church you attend or any church you choose ? some students find it easier to complete this assignment with a church they do not attend ? it?s your decision.

? Imagine you have professionally interviewed 3 church leaders, with at least one being a pastor or the Senior Pastor of the church. Your ability to ask insightful questions in the interviews will be evaluated as a part of this assignment. Include one page that lists the interview questions as an Appendix to your paper.

? Write a paper of 2000-3000 words which includes:
1) Background and Church Information: Briefly describe the background and current picture of the local church including its growth patterns, leadership, size, etc.,
2) Analysis: Evaluate and explain how the seven elements of a transformational church are evident in your subject church as explained in Rainer and Stetzer?s textbook. Your analysis should address all seven elements and apply a rating (on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the strongest).
3) Strategies: Include appropriate strategies for implementation designed to address the elements that need improvement.

? Include an Appendix with the interview questions used with the church leaders.

? It might be helpful for you to view yourself as a church consultant making recommendations based on the knowledge you have acquired through this course of study. Your analysis and strategic recommendations will be key contributors to your grade for this assignment.

The quality of research, analysis, strategic focus, and written presentation will determine the student?s grade. Appropriate citations from your textbooks, a Works Cited/References, title page, introduction, conclusion, and section headings are required.

Deckers Outdoor Corporation

It is compulsory to include VRIN model into my assignement
Deckers Outdoor Corporation.
For this company, explain how successful you think it is and discuss the strategic reasons behind that success (or why the company is not very successful). Your explanation should include something about the contribution of leadership to the company. Go on to suggest strategies and/or actions for ensuring success in the future

We want you to tell the reader what is “special” about the company and justify your answer with analysis using frameworks carefully selected from those you have been taught. Success could be measured in terms of growth, profitability, market share and so on. But how has the company achieved this position which may well have taken several years? It could be due to, for example:
• Exploitation of opportunities in the factors in the far environment including market growth (but you MUST show clearly how the company has exploited the opportunities better than other companies – a simple PESTEL analysis will be awarded no marks)
• A favourable near environment (but you must explain how the company has been able to position itself within that environment – a basic 5F analysis will be awarded no marks)
• Strong strategic capabilities leading to competitive advantage
• A clear competitive strategy consistent with strategic capabilities
• Development strategies leading to growth
• Methods of strategic development supporting the growth strategy
• A well-managed international strategy
• An effective innovation strategy
• Good leadership
• A combination of two or three of the above

To tackle the question you need to carry out a full strategic analysis of the company and the business environment. But we only want to read the really important outputs of that analysis. You have to judge what outputs from the analysis (i.e. your conclusions) are most important and present these to us in a clear, academically rigorous manner.
So, your assignment should contain the following sections:
1. Your ideas about measures of success for the company concluding with your view on how successful it is (remember to cite sources)
2. An outline of up to 10 reasons behind the success stated in a simple, straightforward way with a brief explanation of each reason.
3. Focus on the most important reasons behind the success and provide a detailed analysis using analytical frameworks from TWO areas in the list above (or another part of the module) and your interpretation of the analysis. For example, you may feel that a value chain analysis (done properly, with genuine evaluation) will capture the most important reasons and this can be linked to an analysis of the competitive strategy to show how the company’s value-adding activities have supported the competitive strategy.
4. Evaluate the contribution of leadership (good or bad) to the company’s success
5. Explain what external and/or internal factors might make it difficult for the company to remain as successful as it has been and make suggestions as to how the company can best deal with these.

• The assignment should be written in Arial, 11pt, left-justified, 1½ spacing
• Leave at least 10cm at the end of each section for tutor comments
• All academic and other sources must be cited and included in a reference list.
• No appendices are permitted.
• Tables with sentences (rather than data) will be included in the word count
